For people who grew up in the vacuum tube age, the
light with faint and deep sense of the nixie tube is quite nostalgic. Although it was found that
I can purchase even a few decades after the end of production, I dared to make it as an old man’s
hobby, in spite of being able to buy liquid crystal or LED digital clock very cheaply.

Astronomical Telescope

I was observing the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars at my free time with an 80 mm refractor type
and a 115 mm Newton reflex type telescopes, but I got a desire to see them more beautifully, so I made
upgrade. The main upgrade items are to change the eyepiece from 24.5 to 31.7 mm and replace the mirrorless
reflex camera.

When the magnification of the telescope is low, I can tolerate the motion of stars, but as the
magnification is increased it began to worry. Therefore, as a result of investigating
whether the automatic tracking function can be added to the existing equatorial mount, I thought that
tracking with only the right ascension is possible if tracking for a short time.

Internet. So I tried to make a handmade Karaoke machine using a personal computer.

AM Loop Antenna

Recently when I kept watching TV my eyes
became tired, so listening to the radio became more common. My house is made with wood, but AM receiving
condition is not good and there are many noises except for NHK 1 and 2. So I tried to make AM loop
antenna in order to improve receiving sensitivity.

0-V-2 AM Reflex Radio

I made a reflex type radio since I wanted to
listen to the nostalgic beat noise when I tune it. The vacuum tubes used are 6GH8A and 2B46.
Its receiving sensitivity is almost equivalent to the 5-tube super heterodyne.
